ITS MISSION
The mission of the Royal 22e Regiment Museum is to acquire, conserve and showcase artifacts and historical documents relating to the history and values of the Royal 22e Regiment, as well as the history of the Citadelle of Quebec, within the context of Canadian military history.
In addition, through its outreach and educational activities, it makes available to all its visitors the feats of arms of the Regiment and its history in Quebec, Canada, and abroad, recounts the history of the Citadel since the French regime, and explains the historical function of the current buildings of the latter.

ITS HISTORY
For 75 years, the Royal 22e Regiment Museum has preserved the memory of the Citadel and the Royal 22e Regiment, the only French-speaking infantry regiment in the Canadian Forces. Founded by its members, it has held the official status of Canadian Forces Museum since 1974.
The Royal 22nd Regiment Museum offers a unique perspective on Canadian military history. Through its exhibitions and collections, it testifies to the evolution of the regiment and its role in the defense of the country.
Archives and collections
The Royal 22e Regiment Museum illustrates more than 300 years of history, from the French colonial period to the present day, highlighting the French-speaking military heritage of Quebec and the Royal 22e Regiment. Its collections include more than 15,000 artifacts and 340,000 photographs, as well as 90 linear meters of archival documents. The Museum also preserves 5,800 military books and documents, accessible for research. As witnesses to military life at the Citadel of Quebec, these historical treasures come from donations from members of the Regiment, collectors, and the public. The Museum's objectives
Through its collections, archives, guided tours, educational activities, publications, loans, and provincial and national partnerships, the Museum aims to raise awareness of the history of the Citadel and the members of its resident regiment among the people of Quebec City and visitors from around the world.
