On the Heights of Cape Diamond

Explore Cape Diamond's history through stories of its inhabitants from the French Regime to the First World War. Learn about the strategic importance of Québec City and the uniqueness of the Citadelle—North America's largest British fortress. Take a trip into the daily life of the people who have lived at the Citadelle and examine a host of objects relating to its history and those of its inhabitants.

  • Target audience: Elementary school, Grade 3 and 4
  • Topics addressed: Geography, history, heritage, Canadian citizenship

The activity includes an educational workshop (20 min) and a Citadelle tour (40 min).
